Annual coverage of the events in our nest boxes.  Using cctv cameras, since 2000 I have monitored the nesting of Blue Tits and Great Tits, Robins, Starlings, House Martins and Swifts. While the House Martins have not returned for a couple of years, we had two pairs of Swifts nest successfully in 2010. Returning in May  this year, the two pairs again successfully brought up clutches of 2 chicks, and now we are following the progress of a 'new' pair that didn't lay their eggs until the beginning of July. Their two chicks were not due to fledge until the last week of August but stayed until the beginning of September!
